Passing through Tisno Streets II.
The project “Passing Through Tisno Streets” is dedicated to the valorization of the cultural and historical heritage of the Municipality of Tisno through the marking and description of cultural and historical heritage objects.
It consists of four components;
1. Educational walks through the history of the Municipality of Tisno: We will introduce students to the history of Tisno through educational and interactive walks, with an emphasis on significant sacred and secular sites, and provide them with a deeper understanding of the important people and events that shaped their place
2. Discovering Ivinj – the source of life on the Island: We will provide upper elementary school students with a direct experience of exploring the archaeological site of Ivinj, through interactive workshops, in order to better understand the way of life of their ancestors
3. Competition for a historical story about Tisno: Encourage creative exploration of the cultural, historical and natural heritage of Tisno through writing a historical story for young people, which will reflect key aspects of the Tisno identity in a fun and accessible way
4. Digitization of heritage – Ivinj: Ensure constant promotion and valorization of the archaeological site of Ivinj through digital platforms, regularly updating the website and social networks in order to increase visibility and awareness of the cultural significance of Tisno, and enabled wider access to information for all interested users
GOALS: The aim of the project is to connect the local community, especially young people, with the cultural and historical heritage of Tisno. Through educational activities, digital tools and creative initiatives, the project aims to raise awareness of the importance of the sacred and secular heritage of Tisno, and to strengthen local identity and a sense of community. The aim is to ensure long-term education about heritage, improve cultural tourism and encourage the community to preserve and valorize the heritage of Tisno for future generations.
