Through the eyes of a child.
My third month here in Croatia, time is passing so fast and winter timing made it even quicker. This month was so calm and the island hit the winter. Winter here so far has been two days of continuous rain that makes the fish cross the street with you (don’t ask me how that happened LOL) and the next day’s party sunny cloudy sky makes the sunset astonishing, everything is more colorful and beautiful after a rainy day here in Murter. Being in such a beautiful place makes me always think about how much I need to train the “eyes of a child” of me to enjoy nature in other places.
What I have learned so far is that seeing the world through the child’s eyes is also important when you look into ideas and opinions, preconceptions, and abstractions. In this context, I start thinking of it like watching the sunset, you spend half an hour or more observing the sun sinking below the horizon, and clouds moving with the wind. Each moment you will have a different sky shade, cloud shapes with unrivaled views, and the number of photos for the sunset in my phone assent to that!
