“Footprints of Nature” – Fifth Eco Patrol Workshop.
On the occasion of Earth Day, on April 27, 2025, a workshop titled “Footprints of Nature” was held at the Ivanda family estate for Eco Patrol students. The workshop was led by Manuela Srdarev, a member of the Art Association More.
The workshop had several key objectives: raising awareness about the importance of environmental conservation, encouraging creative expression through natural materials, and fostering a sense of responsibility toward the environment. The activity was designed so that students could better understand the beauty and diversity of the plant world, as well as the value of natural resources, through hands-on experience.
During the workshop, students stamped various types of leaves they had previously collected from nature onto cloth bags. Each leaf left a unique mark, giving each piece a distinctive look. After stamping, students wrote messages on their bags related to planet preservation, nature protection, and their personal wishes for the future of Earth. Through artistic expression, they connected personal messages with ecological values. Some of the messages included: “Nature is a teacher,” “Nature is a miracle – let’s protect it,” “Every flower is worth saving,” “Earth – my breath,” “In your lungs, my home,” “I carry you in my palms,” “Embracing the Earth step by step.”
Through this workshop, students learned to recognize different types of leaves and plants, developed motor skills through stamping techniques, and expressed their attitudes and feelings toward nature through written messages.
A special emphasis was placed on the importance of using natural materials and conserving resources. The workshop provided children with an opportunity to learn and create in a natural environment in a creative and relaxed manner. The atmosphere during the workshop was filled with joy, a sense of community, and a desire to learn.
The “Footprints of Nature” workshop once again confirmed the importance of developing ecological awareness and love for nature from an early age. The Eco Patrol students demonstrated their readiness to be little ambassadors of sustainable living.
