We Develop Skills for the Island Extravaganza Project 2025.

Yesterday, May 7th, the new volunteers of our Island Extravaganza Project 2025 started the day with energizers to create a positive atmosphere and break the initial nerves. After that, we focused on developing leadership skills — discussing key qualities of a good leader, such as empathy, decisiveness, flexibility, and decision-making ability.

As part of the communication workshop, we learned about the differences between passive, aggressive, and assertive communication, and through an interactive role-playing game, we had the opportunity to practice expressing our opinions clearly while remaining respectful to our conversation partners.

Volunteers also participated by sharing their fears and hopes related to the upcoming experience. It was wonderful to hear how much they care about contributing to the community, learning something new, and growing as individuals.

Besides the educational part, the day was filled with laughter, new friendships, and a sense of togetherness. Everyone is already looking forward to the challenges and adventures that await.
