Association Argonauta and its partners presented challenges and proposals for improving the implementation of renewable energy sources.
Yesterday, May 7, our association Argonauta participated in a conference on successful energy and climate planning that took place at the Academia Hotel in Zagreb. The conference was organized by Argonauta’s partner, the Society for Sustainable Development Design (DOOR), and its goal was to encourage innovative approaches in planning and implementing energy policies at all levels.
Namely, Central and Eastern Europe is facing complex challenges in the energy and climate transition process, and therefore cooperation and dialogue between different stakeholders are necessary. Therefore, the conference was attended by regional leaders, policymakers, energy experts, and representatives of civil society.
So yesterday, through panel discussions and interactive workshops, we had the opportunity to exchange experiences, learn about best practices in the energy and climate transition, learn about available financial and technical tools for implementing climate measures, and network with key stakeholders and institutions that support a sustainable energy transition, all of which can contribute to the implementation of sustainable policies at the local and regional levels.
The conference also presented two documents that we developed through the project “From Plans to Reality – Renewable Opportunity for the Future”. The first document presented the obstacles to the development of renewable energy sources that we face in Croatia, and the second presented recommendations for overcoming these identified obstacles.
Participation in this conference once again confirmed the importance of joint action and knowledge exchange in order to achieve a climate-neutral and energy-efficient society. The Argonauta Association will continue to actively contribute to these processes through projects that promote sustainable development, environmental protection and the inclusion of local communities in climate action.
