One of the best summers….
My goodness, the summer is going by so fast!
I started July with the visit of my friend Arthur whom I met at Mid-Term! We went to the beach, saw dolphins swimming very close to us, enjoyed long conversations watching the sunset, fought the mosquitoes at night and cooked very tasty and fresh food to fight the heat.
After Arthur left, I enjoyed the island with my hammock and books as Juliette was still in France. By the way, Muki, Vedranko and Ivana’s kitty has grown up a lot but she is still as cuddly as ever.
The two freshest news of this summer is that we have started this season’s Eco-Wednesdays which are going much better than the winter ones to tell the truth. I don’t know about Juliette but I am enjoying them a lot. And also, we started the Water Aerobics and Yoga workshops! It’s amazing, I love starting the day dancing and seeing how people are happy to the rhythm of the music for an hour, not to mention that after the session the bath in the sea feels great to cool down.
Murter has changed a lot since I arrived in October (as have we), it is now full of life and people. Sometimes it’s a bit annoying to have so many tourists but I guess that’s because I’ve got used to the loneliness of winter and the peace of the empty streets. Even so, of course I am enjoying myself like a little girl, so much that I can’t believe that there is only August left.
The last days of this month we have been accompanied by Naelle, a friend of Juliette’s who has come to visit her for a few days. She is a very quiet and sweet girl whose company I am enjoying very much. We will see what the next month has in store for us but I am sure I will be writing to you sooner than I think.
