time away.
Two days into the new year, I flew to London for a short girls trip with my friend Arina, who I missed a lot during these last months. In London we tried to do, see and try as many things as possible in the short timespan we had, which brought us some chaotic situations but above all, many memorable experiences. I fell a little bit in love with the city and kinda wished that we had spent more time there. On the other hand, the British pound didn’t do our bank accounts any good so maybe three days were enough haha. So, after two eventful but also stressful weeks of being away, I returned to Murter. Surprisingly, I was happy to be back and enjoyed the quiet after the social weeks before. Also, Ana and I literally acted like we saw the landscape for the first time all over again as we had gained a new perspective on the island after having our time away.
Then we started planning the workshops for the upcoming projects “winter full of life” and “eco-wednesdays” and led three of them in the last weeks of the month. At the end of January, the weather was really warm and we tried to use it as much as possible! We even went for a swim in the sea for the first time this year. Even though it was freezing, it was a beautiful reminder of how life on Murter will feel like again in a few months and we enjoyed it a lot.
