YOUTH EXCHANGE – ENTREPRENEURSHIP GOES GREEN

YOUTH EXCHANGE – ENTREPRENEURSHIP GOES GREEN

Green entrepreneurship offers an interesting approach to addressing youth unemployment and environmental challenges. Young people have the potential to contribute innovative, sustainable, and forward-thinking solutions; however, this potential remains underutilized across Europe.

The “Entrepreneurship Goes Green” youth exchange will bring together 32 young people and 8 group leaders from 8 countries to participate in a non-formal learning process focused on developing entrepreneurial skills in a green context. Through experiential learning, the exchange of ideas with peers, and challenge-based activities, participants will explore how entrepreneurial skills can be strengthened through non-formal education and experiential learning methods.

The main activity of the exchange will be a green hackathon, where participants will work in teams to develop solutions to real-world environmental challenges within a limited timeframe and present their ideas to relevant stakeholders.

Project objectives

  • We brought together 42 young people from 8 different countries to promote cultural diversity, giving them the opportunity to learn about other cultures while living in an international environment.
  • Support young people in turning their ideas into concrete entrepreneurial initiatives by providing practical tools for basic project management.
  • We promote social responsibility among young people by encouraging participants to reflect on the social and environmental impact of their ideas, as well as on more responsible and sustainable forms of economic activity.
  • Expose participants to a real-world innovation environment through participation in a hackathon, enabling them to experience challenge-based learning and receive feedback from external stakeholders.
  • To foster intercultural dialogue and cooperation by promoting teamwork and mutual learning among young people from diverse backgrounds.
