WIN-VOLUNTEER IN MURTER 2025/2026 – INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTEERING
The “Volunteer in Murter – WIN” initiative, part of the European Solidarity Corps program, aims to promote environmental awareness, community development, and solidarity as core values by facilitating ESS volunteering on the island of Murter. The ESS WIN activity consists of carefully planned and well-thought-out community solidarity tasks. These tasks are designed in accordance with the identified needs and volunteering opportunities within the Murter local community and address local social challenges while simultaneously strengthening the volunteers’ personal competencies, the social impact of the participating organizations, and the well-being of the Murter community as a whole.
Project objectives
- Over the next three years, to provide young volunteers aged 18 to 30 from the EU and other program countries with the opportunity to participate in a carefully designed 12 -month ESS volunteer activity full of interesting tasks with a positive social impact on the local community. This activity will provide volunteers with a platform to experience what it means to be active citizens at the local level, and they will be able to use this mobility experience to enhance their skills and competencies in various areas for personal and professional development.
- activities offered to a specific number of selected volunteers, based on the prior experience of all participating organizations, the identified needs for volunteer work in the Murter community, and an element of solidarity, in order to enhance the project’s social impact.
- to contribute to European cooperation in the areas of climate action, environmental and nature protection, community development, and local solidarity, while continuing to build strong relationships with project partners based on mutual respect, trust, and the exchange of experiences
