Juliette Dutemple

My volunteering at Argonauta gave me the opportunity to experience nature from a new perspective while developing practical skills in marine environmental protection and local community awareness. Working with a passionate team allowed me to strengthen my ecological convictions and gain a deeper understanding of the importance of community engagement for sustainable development. What stood out to me was the balance between hands-on action, local awareness-raising, and reflection on sustainable solutions at a global scale. I learned to adapt to different contexts, collaborate with people from various cultures, and better understand environmental issues. This experience also pushed me to get to know myself better and reassess my aspirations. After my time at Argonauta, I felt a deep need to explore further, both the outside world and my own inner path. I chose to live in the Swiss mountains with my van, a decision that allowed me to stay close to nature. Now, I am preparing for a hiking trip of several months in the mountains, to be even more connected to nature and continue my journey of introspection. My journey after the EVS has been a constant search for meaning, balancing exploration with personal growth. I continue to nurture my passion for the environment through projects that align with my ecological and human values.
