Island Extravaganza 2026

Today, our new short-term volunteers have joined “Argonauta” for an exciting month ahead of us!

11 participants of our European Solidarity Projects program got to learn more about the “Argonauta” organization and share what brought them to the beautiful island of Murter. They come to us all the way from Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Lithuania, Poland and Denmark! We played some fun ice-breakers, had an energising “JustDance” and discovered interesting facts about each other. The day was filled with laughter, cozy atmosphere and new beginnings.

Short-term volunteers of the “Island Extravaganza” project will focus on the valorisation of the natural and cultural heritage of Murter. They are looking forward to hands-on learning about sustainability, preservation and small ways to create a huge impact on the local community.

Some of the work we will do includes beach and forest cleaning actions. At the archeological site of Colentum we will be assisting with fresh painting of benches and monuments, helping in preparation for rebuilding the drystone walls and supporting the promotion of the archaeological site. We hope that after this month the volunteers will have wonderful memories, new knowledge, friendships and inspiration for environmental protection in their home countries.

There are so many workshops, discussions and gorgeous sunset swims to expect. Learn more about our adventures together from 15 September to 13 October. We have a lot of meaningful actions and educational conversations ahead!
