Plants and animals of the islands of Murter in Tisno and Murter

Jučer ujutro održali smo našu 4. Eko srijedu Yesterday morning we held our 4th Eko Wednesdays workshop in Murter, and in the afternoon we repeated the adventure in Tisno!

This time, our young pirate explorers joined Pirate Ana on a mission to discover the amazing animals and plants that call Murter home.

Throughout the workshop, the children explored the rich biodiversity of the island by identifying different local species, learning about the habitats where they live, and understanding why every plant and animal plays an important role in the ecosystem. Through games and interactive activities, they discovered how forests, meadows, rocky coasts, and the sea are all connected, and why it is so important to protect these unique environments.

Together, we also talked about simple everyday actions that can make a big difference, such as recycling, keeping beaches clean, respecting wildlife, and taking care of nature so that future generations can continue to enjoy it.

To finish the workshop, the children took part in a creative activity where they used recycled materials to design and build their own animals, showing that imagination and sustainability can go hand in hand. Every creation was unique and reflected everything they had learned throughout the day.

A huge thank you to all our little explorers for another wonderful day filled with curiosity, teamwork, creativity, and a shared commitment to protecting our environment. We can't wait for the next adventure! 🌍♻️🦋
