February blog

February blog

Hi Argonautas, welcome to this second blog of 2026!

If I had to describe this month in one word, I would say: creativity.

Indeed, February is not known for its beautiful weather or mild temperatures, and this applies even to the Mediterranean, on that very cute island where we live.

The days were short, cold, and very rainy, yet I still had a wonderful month. It started with my rainy birthday, which ended up being amazing (somehow unforgettable aha) thanks to Ona and her (extremely :) devoted birthday spirit), and the warm team atmosphere at work.

The weather also gave us more time to stay at home with Ona, which pushed us to find new ways to keep ourselves entertained. And this brings me back to the creativity I mentioned earlier. At home, I spent a lot of time painting with watercolors and discovered skills I never knew I had, which was really enjoyable! At the same time, we continued crocheting, and our creations are starting to look quite decent (though it’s still a work in progress on my side). On top of that, I decided to make my own little jewelry pieces, and I’m very proud of them!

But you know us, a month without a little adventure is impossible for us, even if we enjoy every cozy moment at home. First, I had the pleasure of finally meeting Ona’s best friend, Izan, who came to visit for a week, and we had a great time together. Then Ona went on vacation in Serbia.

And the real adventure for me began, when I packed my bags and headed to Vienna, Austria. I was so excited, first because I had never been there before, and second because it was the perfect chance to catch up with friends I hadn’t seen in a too long time!! And I was not disappointed! When I arrived (four hours later than planned—thanks, Flixbus! 😂), the city was covered in snow, giving it a beautiful, mystical vibe. And as soon as I met my friend again we couldn’t stop chitchatting until 4am ahaha!

With my friend Diana, we absolutely loved it. From the impressive historic buildings to the wonderful museums, our eyes could barely take it all in! We were literally stopping every 5 steps to take pictures. Despite the rain and snow, the city never stopped impressing us throughout the whole weekend. It was amazing, and I felt truly grateful to have the experience.

Now, let’s talk a little about work, because yes, I actually work 😄.

February was the calmest month we’ve had so far. There were even moments when we didn’t know what to do with Ona at the office!

At the same time, our two main projects, Eco-Wednesday and Winter Full of Life, kept us engaged during these long weeks.

For Winter Full of Life, for example, I had to learn watercolor painting and how to make bracelets to teach the kids later. And guess what? I loved it! These moments with the children are the highlights of my work lately. We never get bored; they’re fun, kind, and full of energy, and we always have a great time together.

Now, the days are slowly getting longer and warmer, leading us toward the highly anticipated spring :)))

That was it for my February! I hope you enjoyed reading about it.

See you next month 😉

PS: I’m sad to announce that this month we couldn’t manage to find a good moment to keep up our swimming tradition, but we’ll definitely make up for it in March!
