Today our volunteers held the third Summer Eco Wednesday in Lantana! 🌿

The theme of this year's workshop was fast fashion and textile pollution.

Our special guest, Ana the Pirate, came to find out if the children already knew anything about clothing pollution, its causes, and its impact on the environment. To her surprise, they did! Some of the children even managed to explain what fast fashion is, which was a fantastic start to our mission to reduce clothing waste.

Then the young eco-pirates set off in search of treasure to collect pieces of discarded clothing that Ana had noticed around the area during her travels.

Using the fabric they had collected, each child created a unique work of art by decorating the first letter of their name. Ana was once again delighted by their creativity, imagination, and attention to detail.

It was a wonderful workshop that combined learning about an important environmental issue with movement, teamwork, and artistic creativity. Together we took another small step toward protecting our planet! 🌍💚
