From 21 to 23 October we were in Knin for the Assembly of the Green Forum, a network of Croatian environmental protection associations. The hosts, the Krka Environmental Association Knin, with the support of BIOM and the #catalystforchange programme, organised a fantastic gathering for all participants.

All the associations present had the opportunity to connect with colleagues from across Croatia, exchange experiences and plan joint actions for the conservation of nature and the environment. We discussed our achievements to date, new challenges and future projects, and how to operate even more effectively through the forum. 

Membership of the Green Forum has proven extremely valuable – it has enabled us to take an active part in initiatives, from preventing environmental devastation to responding to legislative changes that could threaten nature. Furthermore, collaboration with organisations that share similar values but operate in different specialist fields brings fresh ideas and expertise that strengthen our work.

This year the forum has been further strengthened: Biovrt – In Harmony with Nature and the Latinovac Eco Centre have joined it, and earlier the Zeleni Klik from Zagreb and ZMAG / Recycled Estate from Vukomerići had already got involved.

A big thank you to the hosts for the excellent organisation, and we look forward to all the new projects and collaborations with this inspiring team!
