From 6 to 7 November 2025 in Rimini, Italy (Ecomondo Fair), BLUESLINKS presents the Blue Way Hackathon 2025 – the edition for aquaculture and fisheries, a 48-hour innovation sprint dedicated to shaping the future of sustainable fisheries and aquaculture.

This event will bring together students, young entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized enterprises and researchers from Italy and Croatia to jointly develop new solutions for the blue economy, with an emphasis on sustainability, digitalisation and circular economy models.

Main areas of challenge:

• Resilient and sustainable aquaculture
• Sustainable fishing and biodiversity protection
• Circular economy and waste valorisation
• Education, promotion and social impact

Participants will work in teams, with the support of expert mentors from academia, industry and the BLUESLINKS network, to develop prototypes and ideas that can be turned into real projects.
