"VOLIN" is an Erasmus+ youth exchange that will bring together 36 young people and 6 group leaders from six different countriesThrough shared living, learning, volunteering, and socializing, participants will explore what it means to be an active community member and discover the various ways young people can get involved and contribute to the environment in which they live.

What are we going to do?

This exchange will not take place only in the work areas. An important part of the program will be precisely Getting out into the local community and hands-on volunteering experience.

During the project, we will collaborate with various local organizations, initiatives, volunteers, and experts working in areas such as:

• Protection of the environment and nature
• Social inclusion and support for vulnerable groups
• Working with people with disabilities and other groups in need of support
• animal welfare
• Humanitarian action
• development and connection of the local community.

Participants will engage in Specific volunteer and socially beneficial activities and to learn firsthand how local organizations are responding to the needs of their community. Each day will bring a different experience and an opportunity to meet new people, organizations, and ways of working. Alongside practical activities, the program will include methods of non-formal education, work in international teams, group discussions, reflections, creative tasks, and activities through which we will exchange experiences from our respective countries.

What can you gain by participating?

"VOLIN" is an opportunity to learn about different models of volunteering, solidarity, and civic engagement, as well as to develop your own skills.

Through international experience, we will develop teamwork, communication, initiative, empathy, responsibility, leadership, and problem-solving skills. At the same time, we will learn about different cultures, break down prejudices, and explore what connects us as young people and citizens of Europe, despite the diverse backgrounds we come from.

We want the experience to continue beyond the exchange's final day. Participants will be encouraged to bring what they have learned and experienced back to their communities and find their own ways to engage in activities and initiatives that can improve their local communities.

Who are we looking for for the Croatian team?

We are looking for young people who are Interested in volunteering, active citizenship, solidarity, and getting to know other cultures.They are ready to actively participate in the entire program and want to spend 10 days in an international environment.

Previous experience in Erasmus+ projects or volunteering Not necessaryWhat matters more are motivation, openness to new experiences, and a willingness to actively participate.

Before the exchange itself, members of the Croatian team will also take part in a preparatory activity through which they will get to know the work of a local humanitarian or community-oriented organization and explore how it contributes to its community.

After the exchange, participants are expected to share their project experiences and results and pass them on to other young people in their community.

The project is being carried out as part of the program. Erasmus+, and in accordance with program rules, participants' costs for accommodation, meals, and program activities are covered, while travel costs are reimbursed up to the amount provided for in the Erasmus+ rules.
