Today our volunteers are back in the office! After a fun Energizer, Nela gave them their tasks for the day. They got in groups according to their countries and started researching about archeological heritage in their countries to present them later to the group. This also included showing the group how their country preserves their archeological sites and heritage.
The presentations were really interesting and the group really showed off their knowledge. We had everything ranging from monuments for Karl Marx to a Spanish Chapel and UNESCO world heritage sites. It was also really nice to see how the countries preserve their heritage through different ways. Some focus on online presence while others put more emphasis on on-site tours.
The second half of the day was spent outside. The group went back to Collentum to brainstorm some ideas how they can promote Collentum in a video format. What better way to do that than right there. The Collentum is the remains of the Roman times and our local archeological site here in Murter. It has been here for over 2000 years and you can discover Roman architecture, seaport devices and mosaics which all stand for the significance the Island had.
Today they explored the Collentum in a more playful way: through a scavenger hunt. In little groups they walked by important places that led them further with every task they completed. In the end we had a lot of fun pictures of a roman family, the landscape and much more.
Back in the office they presented what their favourite part was and what ideas they came up with regarding the promotion video.
The volunteers came up with great ideas but to see what they are you need to wait just a little more. ;)
