March Reflection: When Emotions Speak Through Colour and Verse

March Reflection: When Emotions Speak Through Colour and Verse

The start of the month means only one thing – reflection! Time flies by so quickly, and we're already halfway through April!
This time, we gave our volunteers the chance to express themselves through drawing and verse. Creativity to the max!

This activity was intended to encourage introspection, creativity and the free expression of inner experiences.

Through drawing, our girls transferred their feelings, thoughts and impressions for March onto paper, using colours, lines and shapes as a means of non-verbal communication. Their drawings are a personal interpretation of emotions and experiences, without the need for a "correct" or "incorrect" solution – the emphasis was on the process, not the outcome.

Alongside the visual component, a creative writing activity, namely poetry, was introduced. Naelys and Ona translated their thoughts and feelings into words. This form of expression enabled deeper reflection and further connection with their own experiences.

Each one did it in her own way: Oni is more inclined towards writing, while Naelys is all about colours and shapes!
They decided to keep their work to themselves, so we didn't photograph it for you.
We had a great time!

*The European Solidarity Corps (ESS) is a program of the European Union to strengthen solidarity in various areas: from helping disadvantaged people and providing humanitarian aid to engagement for health and the environment in the EU and beyond.

The program offers young people the opportunity to respond to the needs of the community, make a concrete contribution to society, and in the process gain invaluable experience and develop new skills. The program is also intended for organizations active in the field of solidarity that want to involve young people in their activities.
