Eco-heroes, to the rescue!

Eco-heroes, to the rescue!

Yesterday, our volunteer Naelys led the final Eco-Wednesday as part of the “Kornati – It's Important to Know About the Sea 10” project, co-funded by the Ministry of Science, Education, and Youth 🌱🌊

During the “Eco-Heroes in Action” workshop, we encouraged the children to use their imagination to create and draw their own eco-hero, thinking about their traits and superpowers.

Then we asked them if they already knew any eco-heroes. The goal was to help them understand that superheroes aren't always big or do spectacular deeds—they're actually all around us.

We introduced the children to several insects and explained that they are true eco-heroes who protect our planet every day. We emphasized their important roles and abilities in nature, trying to give the children a different perspective on these small, hardworking creatures.

We concluded the workshop with a dance and mime activity that the children love, thus marking the end of this wonderful program.

This final workshop perfectly sums up the past few months: educational, fun, and full of new knowledge for the kids!

See you this summer for the new season ;))
