On 23 April 2026, as part of the 'Eko Camp Kornati 2026' project, a lecture on 'Rules of Conduct in the Kornati National Park' was held at the Transport and Technical School in Šibenik. The participants were students from the third and fourth year of the Yacht and Marina Technicians course.

The lecture was given by Dominik Mihaljević, a representative of the Public Institution 'Kornati National Park'. 

The lecture emphasised compliance with rules and regulations within protected areas and responsible conduct during navigation. The aim was to provide students with clear guidelines on how to respond in various situations at sea.

During the lecture, topics such as proper conduct when encountering dolphins and sea turtles were covered, with an emphasis on behaviour that must not disturb them. The impact of marine litter on the ecosystem and the importance of its proper disposal were also discussed.

Special attention was paid to the problem of free-drifting anchoring, which threatens marine angiosperms, as well as to the benefits of using environmentally friendly moorings within Kornati National Park. Students were explained the difference between this system and conventional anchoring, and its impact on the benthos.

The issue of how to proceed upon sighting an oil slick at sea was also addressed, as was the ban on discharging wastewater from vessels, which applies not only in Kornati National Park but throughout the entire Adriatic.

Finally, the park's zoning was addressed, including strict protection zones where access is prohibited to preserve its natural values.

With this, we have concluded the third component of this project, and at the end of the month we have a seabed clean-up action in Kornati National Park to look forward to!
