Hi everybody! Violetta is here to catch you up on all the September fun.
My first month in Murter was full of new experiences, gorgeous landscapes, incredible people, very hot weather and refreshing swims. So I would love to share with you my memories, recommendations, accomplishments and further hopes.

Island Extravaganza adventures
From ice-breakers to clean-up action, it was very memorable to follow the journey of new short-term volunteers. I have shared with you some of their meaningful experiences on Argonauta’s social media and got to participate in some of the workshops with them. I’m grateful to learn more about their countries, passions and hopes.
Archeology exploration in Irvinj
Dressing up as an ancient Roman, I volunteered at Argonauta’s workshop in the archeological site Irvinj. Very energetic and curious 5th-graders from Tisno school have joined us in a quest to learn about the history of the region and the importance of archeology. The outfit was definitely a highlight!
Workshops’ preparation
I started creating my workshops for “Winter full of life” and “Eco-wednesdays” workshops that will start in a few months. I am very excited to host educational and crafty activities, getting to know local children better. I am looking forward to teaching them about the environment and seeing their endless creativity!

Seeing Croatia from the sky
The islands and the mountains from the airplane window were a great start to my introduction to the country!
The hills and “the sunset points”
On my map I started a collection of the best sunset points because I love spending time in nature. My camera caught some gorgeous lighting on Raduč and Gradine.
Cycling by the coast
It is such a fun way to spend my energy on exploring the island by taking out the bicycle and roaming around a new part of Murter.
Sunrise yoga and hobbies by the beach
I have felt very mindful while stretching and meditating as the sun rises, or spending hot days reading, sketching and doing sudoku. Fun fact: while decorating my room with my sketches, I have noticed that all of my Luke beach sketches align in a perfect panorama.
Regatta and ice cream
I challenged myself to try every ice cream flavour there is in Murter. The most interesting discovery so far - honey and nuts. I had it with me as I joined the community to watch the amazing regatta. I was very impressed by all the participants and the view was so breathtaking.

TV: “A Love Other Than Yours” – nova kratka korejska dramska serija o tome što je različitim ljudima potrebno da bi se osjećali voljeno.
Film: “Best of the Best” – novi plesni film prožet nevjerojatnom bollywoodskom kulturom.
Knjiga: “The Dallergut Dream Department Store” autorice Miye Lee – korejska knjiga koja grije srce; govori o tome o čemu ljudi žele sanjati te o zabavnim, čarobnim procesima koji se odvijaju kad utonu u san.
Next missions:
Next month we are traveling to Šibenik for an exciting youth exchange, Orahovica for training “How to become Croatia’s favourite volunteer”😉 and Zagreb to explore the city a little bit. A lot of social media, organization and learning for me! I want to cook some new recipes, listen to new albums of my favourite artists and make meaningful new connections.
