Today we held the fourth Eco-Wednesday as part of the “Kornati – It's Important to Know About the Sea 10” project, co-financed by the Ministry of Science, Education, and Youth 🌱🌊.
The topic of the day was wetlands, and the goal of the workshop was to introduce the children to the definition and unique characteristics of these rich ecosystems. After a brief introduction, in which we explained what wetlands are and checked whether the children had already visited any of them, we began the first activity – “Find the Differences.” The children compared two pictures of the same lake to spot details and realize that every corner of the wetland has its own unique ecosystem that deserves protection.
In the second activity, participants made small origami frogs, which allowed them to express themselves creatively and connect with the day's theme.
To wrap up the workshop, we organized a fun movement game – a little race in which the children pretended to be frogs and ducks in a lake. Laughter, fun, and positive energy filled the space, and the children loved every moment of the game.
See you next week – follow us for a new Eco-Wednesday!
