Yesterday, our volunteer Naelys led the 7th Eco Wednesday as part of the "Kornati – It's Important to Know about the Sea 10" project, co-financed by the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth 🌱🌊

This time the theme was recycling and upcycling. As usual, we began the workshop with a brief introduction to gauge the children's knowledge and familiarise them with the topic.

The first activity was finding the pairs. The children were given photographs of various objects – some were ordinary items, while others showed the same items transformed through upcycling. The children had to find the matching pairs. It was an excellent activity that showed the children in a concrete way what "upcycling" looks like in practice.

The final activity was for the children to repurpose cardboard egg boxes themselves, turning them into a beautiful work of art in the form of a bouquet of flowers.

The children really enjoyed the activity, and it was very interesting to see their creativity.

This workshop was more practical than theoretical, with a concrete outcome at the end, which was excellent.
