Welcome back Argonautas!
And just like that, June has already flown by. I can't believe we're already more than halfway through the year and getting closer to the end of this life-changing experience.
I wanna be honest with you, after the excitement of may, it took me a little while to adapt to the peace and calmer life again. But with time, I managed to slow down, embrace a calmer rhythm, and appreciate the beauty of the slower days.
June began with Murter coming back to life. Restaurants and shops started opening their doors, and it was incredible to see how, almost overnight, the streets transformed from being nearly empty to full of people. The village gradually filled with energy, bringing back that unmistakable holiday atmosphere that makes this place so special.
And with that, Naely's best friend, Clarisse, came to visit her. I loved meeting Naely's friend because it gave me a different perspective on who she is. Hearing all the stories from their childhood and younger years made me understand her even better, and it was heartwarming to see how happy she was to have her best friend around. We also took advantage of the restaurants that had finally reopened and enjoyed going out for dinner a few times. Overall, it was an amazing week filled with laughter, good food, and great company.

Right after that, I spent another two days working on a project in the Kornati Islands. It also gave me a new friend in Murter: the man in charge of the boat that goes to the Kornati. Every time we see each other around town, he always takes a moment to say hello.

And just the day after, Naelys and I headed to Zadar for our long-awaited mid-term evaluation. We spent four days with amazing volunteers from all around Croatia, and I was especially excited to meet another Spanish volunteer. Being able to speak my own language made me feel a little closer to home.

Tijekom evaluacije razmišljali smo o svom volonterskom iskustvu, što uvijek volim jer mi daje priliku da se osvrnem na sve što sam do sada naučila. Također smo imali vremena bolje upoznati ostale volontere i još jednom posjetiti prekrasni Zadar.
Also, Naelys and I, came up with the idea of creating a group chat with all the volunteers in Croatia so we could stay connected and keep in touch during our projects.
And without even a day to rest, I went straight to Split Airport to pick up my friend Cristina, who had come to visit me for a few days. We spent the weekend in Split, exploring the city and enjoying some time at the beach. After that, we returned to Murter, where we were able to enjoy its beautiful beaches together. It was so nice to see her again, have her so close, and show her the place that I now call home- Since I took a few days off, I was able to spend the rest of the week with her, and I really enjoyed making the most of our time together.

In the middle of the month I got the chance to finish my last interview for my personal project, the documentary about the life after erasmus that I was making last month. The trailer for the documentary is already up if you want to check it out ;)
And with the arrival of a new weekend came another adventure. Naely and I spent the weekend in Zagreb. We went on a shopping spree, met up with some friends for a drink, and enjoyed exploring the city. Before heading back to Murter, we had the best brunch of my life. Those tuna tostadas... What a dream! I still think about them.

The warm weather made us a little tired, but we pushed through and successfully carried out the workshops for Naely's personal project, which I documented for my bachelor's thesis. We were both really happy with how those four days turned out, and now Naely is preparing the final exhibition... and I'm getting the cameras ready!

See you next month!!
